Our Mini-Tragedy

Yesterday I noticed we were missing Jackson's hat we got him in Disney World. I figured it got left a his Nana's house, so I didn't worry too much about it. Today I had everyone looking for it, but no one can find it!

Yes, I said it. We lost THE hat!

This is the only hat Jackson will keep on his head. I took a long shot by buying it at Magic Kingdom  because he hated hats, but I knew he needed something on his head. Not sure if it was the magic of Disney or what, but the kid wore it all vacation and most every day since then. I know I may be a bit sentimental, but I really wanted to cry at the thought of not getting that hat back.

I had an idea to go online and see if I could buy another one.  After not finding anything, I found the number to Disney Stores and called them. A very nice, and apologetic woman answered and told me she was SO sorry and she would do anything to help. She gave me the number to Magic Kingdom. I called, another very nice woman answered, found the hat in the system and his shipping me another one in 1-3 weeks!

I said this when we visited and I'll say it now, I LOVE the people at Disney. They're all so nice and helpful. The parks were clean, the restrooms were clean, people were friendly. It just became my new favorite place.

Oh, by the way, checkout my yard sale find for today :-)

It's a Mickey Race Track! Jackson played with it for a good 45 minutes before nap time.

Have a great weekend everybody!

A Pacifer-LESS night...or so we thought

Ever since Jackson was a year old we have limited his pacifier use to only when he sleeps. Even though he just turned two, I'm still not in a big hurry to get rid of the paci just yet. Tonight Jackson got out of the bath and wasn't tired, so we read a book and played with his fishies a bit.

Jordan just happened to lay him down in bed without the pacifier and we thought we'd try it tonight. Jackson cried for just a few minutes and then stopped. We thought he had given up, but when I looked back in he had found a long lost paci somewhere in his bed. We're convinced he's been hiding it for this occasion he knew was coming!

Also, what's better than one Popsicle?

2!

VBS, A Fun Day and a Blog Makeover

This week has been so busy, it's unbelievable. Jackson spent from 6-8:30 every night at my parent's church at VBS. Since he's only two I dropped him off in the two-year old nursery, but then they took them outside, to do crafts and to music time. Music was obviously one of Jackson's favorite things about the week. He loves to sing and dance. The closing program was last night. The 2 year olds came in to sing a song they had been practicing. There were only three of them since some weren't cooperating, but as I guessed, Jackson stole the show! (Excuse the bad quality but he's the one in the red that everyone was laughing at, dancing and who pulled the workers up on stage with him)

A few days ago Jordan took a day off so that we could take Jackson to do something fun in Little Rock. After buying a Groupon we decided to add a stop to our list and go to The Wonder Place.

Jackson had a great time, and I can't wait to go back and take a few of his friends!

After The Wonder Place we took Jordan to eat at his favorite, TGI Fridays. His birthday is tomorrow, so we had another mini celebration. We also went to The Splash Zone in Jacksonville before heading home, and that place is the greatest! It just so happened that it was almost nap time and the hottest part of the day when we got there, but when Jackson saw the water, he was instantly awake. I didn't get to take any pictures because I left my phone in the car, but let me just say that if I had one of those in my backyard, I would never leave. The kids pool is just the right height for Jackson and it has a big playground set in the middle of it with slides coming off into the water. We will definitely be going back there soon.

As you have probably already seen, I did a blog makeover. I get bored very easy with the same look of the blog, however I had a very savvy blogger once told me to always keep it similar so that people know it's yours. So now I am trying to find a look that I can stick with, but also tweak every now and then.

So what do you think about it?

Batteries

I just replaced 27 batteries in things around our house. Most of the things were Jackson's toys. Have you ever noticed that all the batteries seem to go dead at the same time? And that at the end of their life each toy starts to sound like it's possessed? I hate it when they turn on in the middle of the night out of no where and wake everyone up. Jackson was so happy to get a few of his toys back that he hadn't had in awhile.

Sunday we went to visit Jordan's parents at their house. Jackson has such a great time out there and he can go wherever he wants.

Jackson went fishing...sort of

and took a ride on the tractor

We had such a great weekend with it being so warm and Jackson being able to play outside. I sure hope it stays this way, because he might go crazy if we had to stay inside.

He's getting to spend some time with his Papa and Nana this week while I work, so I know he's having a great time!
