Christmas was so much fun this year. Jackson is almost 2 1/2 so he really got into opening presents this year. It's also still nice because he didn't have a concept of what those presents were before Christmas, so we didn't have to worry about him opening them up early.
Christmas Eve we spent lying around the house. After nap it was time to go to Jordan's parents for our Christmas. The boys opened their gifts from Mimi and Poppy, and Jackson couldn't have been more excited. He got a new Mickey Mouse clubhouse train, a tractor and trailer and then of course, my favorite, was a new flat screen tv for his playroom. I was so happy to get that monster of a tv off of his shelf. I was always afraid he was going to bump it and knock it off on himself.

After that we went to Jordan's grandparents to have Christmas with his whole side of the family. We play dirty Santa and all the kids open presents. Jackson is obsessed with fish, so his Granny got him a "hassle free" fish tank. The fish move across the screen and it has ocean noises. He LOVES it!

Christmas morning we were at our house and got up to open presents. Jackson didn't sleep so good the night before so he actually slept in till 8. He got a new train set from us and his favorite a fire truck.

I have to brag on my gifts this year. Jordan did so good, he got me a few things for the kitchen, including a Paula Dean pie pan that I had been wanting. But the greatest of all was The Pioneer Woman's book Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. It's the story of how she met and married her husband. I'm not a big reader, but I finished the book in four days. It was just that good, I could hardly put it down.
Jackson also got a new tent from his other grandparents and lots of candy. We had such a great Christmas this year. It's really not all about getting presents (although Jackson thinks we should do this every day now), it's really about being with family. We celebrated a week early with my family, but I'm so glad everyone got to get together.
