With today starting a brand new year I wanted to look ahead at what I want the year to be, but also look back at some of the highlights from 2012. Jackson grew so much, we added Ava to our family, took some amazing trips and spent lots of time with family.
Here is our year in pictures. I'm so excited about all the things to come in 2013. I know God has big things in store. On Sunday we had a great lesson about making sure you are doing what you need to do for God and everything else will take care of itself. I'm ready for another year!

One Last Look Back

New Year
I can't believe it's 2012 already! It still feels like 2008 is comfortable for me to say. It is true what they say about getting older and how time seems to go faster. I think it also happens faster when you have kids. Jackson is growing up so fast. I'm at the fact that he'll be three this summer.
I'm not one to get all nostalgic with the start of a new year. I don't really think about resolutions or reassessing my life. I think it's good to do that throughout the year, and I also believe that God lays things on your heart when it may be time to think about things differently.
That being said, I am looking forward to this year. So far it looks likes I'll be starting a new career teaching at the university where I earned my degree, having a baby and who knows what else. I feel like teaching is something that God has had in His plans for me for a very long time. I tend to get a little impatient and anxious when it comes to plans, and I even got a little discouraged earlier this year. However, I am learning that He always works things out in His timing and that is so much better than anything I could put together.
As I said, we'll be having another baby this Summer as well. I'm very excited, but I'm also nervous. They say that going from one to two babies is very hard. Luckily my first baby is going to be a big three year old boy by then. I see him changing every day and becoming more helpful. I know he'll be a great big brother and is going to have a blast playing with his new brother or sister.
I hope everyone has had a great start to the year and I pray it gets even better!
