Our Mini-Tragedy

Yesterday I noticed we were missing Jackson's hat we got him in Disney World. I figured it got left a his Nana's house, so I didn't worry too much about it. Today I had everyone looking for it, but no one can find it! 

Yes, I said it. We lost THE hat!

This is the only hat Jackson will keep on his head. I took a long shot by buying it at Magic Kingdom  because he hated hats, but I knew he needed something on his head. Not sure if it was the magic of Disney or what, but the kid wore it all vacation and most every day since then. I know I may be a bit sentimental, but I really wanted to cry at the thought of not getting that hat back. 

I had an idea to go online and see if I could buy another one.  After not finding anything, I found the number to Disney Stores and called them. A very nice, and apologetic woman answered and told me she was SO sorry and she would do anything to help. She gave me the number to Magic Kingdom. I called, another very nice woman answered, found the hat in the system and his shipping me another one in 1-3 weeks! 

I said this when we visited and I'll say it now, I LOVE the people at Disney. They're all so nice and helpful. The parks were clean, the restrooms were clean, people were friendly. It just became my new favorite place.

We're Back!

We just got home from the best vacation EVER! Every two years my whole family goes to Disney World. We haven't been able to go in a few years, but this year we were able to take Jackson.

 We took two days to get there and drove straight home on the way back. Jackson did AMAZING on the drive. I attribute part of that to my niece Carley who sat in the back seat and entertained him the whole way. 

Jackson is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse. He has watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse from the time he was only a few months old. I couldn't wait to take him to see the real live Mickey. The first thing we did on Sunday was go to a character breakfast. We went to the Ohana restaurant in the Polynesian Hotel. We weren't staying on Disney property, but right across the freeway.

J loved Mickey so much!  He just didn't understand why he had to wait to see them. Patience was definitely something we had to start learning on this trip.

After the character breakfast we spent the morning at Animal Kingdom. We rode Expedition Everest a few times each and then went over to meet Mickey again!

We didn't do the safari because it was just too hot and we weren't sure how Jackson would do. He fell asleep in the car on the way home though :-)

On Monday it was time to go to...

We left for lunch and a nap and then came back to watch the light parade.

The next few days we spent at Universal Studios.

We had such a great trip. Jackson was pretty easy going the whole trip. He had so much fun playing with all his cousins. Jordan and I got to go out to eat and do some shopping too. This was the best vacation we've ever been on. I can't wait to take him back in another two years.
