Sick Boys, Snowdays, and Shots

What and intersting two weeks it has been around here. First of all, we got the biggest snowfall we have seen in Searcy in a long time. They didn't even predict we would get that much snow, but it just kept falling and falling. Luckily Jordan had already planned to take off that day for a dentist appointment, so he was home with us. Jackson had just been getting over a cold, so we didn't spend too much time outside, but we did build a snowman and make a snow angel.

I can't wait till the time when Jackson gets older and we can all go play in the snow together!
On the 18th of January Jackson turned 6 months old. I can't believe he is getting so big. It is crazy how time flies! I know people tell you to enjoy it because they grow up so fast, and that is true. At his check up he weighed 20 lbs 2 oz. and was 27 inches long. He was in the 90th percentile, and the doctor said he was going to be a big boy. I am hoping he got some of his poppy and papa's height. He did great with his shots, he only cried for a second. I was relieved to learn that these are the last shots he gets until a year old.
Just a week later, we returned to the doctor because Jackson was sick. His eye was draining and he had snot pouring out of his nose. At first I thought we would just wait it out. I'm not one to run to the doctor for every little thing, but then he started pulling on his ear. He has only had one ear infection before and I wasn't about to let this get as bad as that one. Dr. Tucker said that he didn't have an ear infection, just a bad sinus infection. You could just tell that he didn't feel good, and he is usually so full of life. We got some medicine and headed home. The next few days were more of the same. He didn't sleep too bad though, he only woke up because he couldn't breathe through his nose. Within 3 days he was back to himself and happy again.
