A MishMash and Prayer Request Update

First I'll start out with the prayer request update. My Sister is doing so much better. She was able to go home from the hospital today and seems to be able to get somewhat comfortable. She doesn't have any more broken bones, so it's mainly just pain from the trauma of the wreck. We're hoping that will all ease up over the next few weeks. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for her over the last week. I believe in the power of prayer so much!

On to the mishmash. Today I went to Conway for the last time as a student. I graduate on Saturday morning! It's nice to say that I am officially done with school. I'm hoping to return one day as a teacher, but we'll see what God has in store for me.

One of the best things about all this is that I'm finally feeling the freedom to do some things again. Last year for my graduation present my Mom got me a new sewing machine. I haven't used it near as much as I'd like over the past year and I can't wait to get it out again. I have some quilting squares that she got in Hawaii, and I want to get them sewn together and start learning to quilt. I also have several recipes and new things I'd like to try.

It's funny how you can have all these plans of things you want to do and think you will be able to do. It seems like that's all I've had the past few months is plans. I hope I am able to make some of those pan out and start doing things I love to do again. It's not that I haven't been enjoying myself, it's just that I haven't had a time for a whole lot of extra things in my schedule.

That's all for now, I hope everyone is having a great week!

  1. So glad that your sister is getting better and Congrats on graduation!!!!

  2. That is great news about your sister! And, congratulations on graduation! That is such a great feeling. I am jealous that you are so crafty; I am absolutely not! I wouldn't even know what to do with a sewing machine...seriously.
