Fat Off Friday- Starting Over


Ok, yes I'm aware it's been too long. I have been asked several times what happened to Fat Off Friday. I didn't really have too much of an answer other than I have been super busy and it's been over 100 degrees every day for the past few weeks. These last few days we've had a break from the heat but also some rain. I haven't ran in far too long, nor have I done the slightest bit of exercise. 

I say all that to say this, I'm starting over. I lost 4 lbs while we were on vacation in Orlando, and I know that had to do with walking miles and miles all over those parks in the heat. While I'm not really into walking miles and sweating it off in the heat, I am definitely going to start over.

I have a goal in mind, to get down to a certain weight by the time we decide to have another baby. I'm down to the weight I was before I got pregnant the first time, but I wasn't really happy there either. I figure that if I lose the weight now, it won't be as difficult to lose it after another baby.

My biggest problem lately is snacking late in the evening. I mostly have a bowl of cereal, which is better than cookies I guess, but I don't know that I really that hungry when I eat it. I'm going to cut out the snacking at night. I'm also eating more salads lately and trying to eat a few small meals per day. 

As far as the exercise goes, I'm going get back into doing the videos that I found on Netflix. I'm also hoping to be able to run again soon, but I'm really going to hold off on that until Jackson starts Mother's Day Out. When he starts going there four days a week, I will have at least one, and sometimes two morning all to myself. I think this will give me a great opportunity to go running and exercise. I hate trying to do it in the morning because I have to get up so early. Jackson has always woken up so early in the morning, even 5:30 AM at one point! Now he's started waking up around 7 or so, so I'm not willing to trade in the extra hour of sleep just do exercise. 

I'm so glad to to be back and doing this again. Please help by keeping me motivated, and you can also post how you're doing with your weight loss goals.

  1. you can do it amanda! i know how hard it is to lead a busy life and try to lose weight, but where there is a will there is a way! look forward to reading more!
