New Year

I can't believe it's 2012 already! It still feels like 2008 is comfortable for me to say. It is true what they say about getting older and how time seems to go faster. I think it also happens faster when you have kids. Jackson is growing up so fast. I'm at the fact that he'll be three this summer.

I'm not one to get all nostalgic with the start of a new year. I don't really think about resolutions or reassessing my life. I think it's good to do that throughout the year, and I also believe that God lays things on your heart when it may be time to think about things differently. 

That being said, I am looking forward to this year. So far it looks likes I'll be starting a new career teaching at the university where I earned my degree, having a baby and who knows what else. I feel like teaching is something that God has had in His plans for me for a very long time. I tend to get a little impatient and anxious when it comes to plans, and I even got a little discouraged earlier this year. However, I am learning that He always works things out in His timing and that is so much better than anything I could put together. 

As I said, we'll be having another baby this Summer as well. I'm very excited, but I'm also nervous. They say that going from one to two babies is very hard. Luckily my first baby is going to be a big three year old boy by then. I see him changing every day and becoming more helpful. I know he'll be a great big brother and is going to have a blast playing with his new brother or sister.
